Lend your voice to 1000 Voices Strong
Working on the event for many months, Loud Dog has been anxiously awaiting the 35th anniversary celebration for La Casa de las Madres, which took place at the Fairmont last week. It was a beautiful event, complete with a red carpet hosted by Verizon, delicious hors d’oeuvres and wine, and 360 degree views of the foggy city. We found ourselves in the company of local celebrities such as ABC7’s Cheryl Jennings, SF Chief of Police Greg Suhr, Police Commander Mike Biel, and Supervisor Scott Wiener– I think we were all a bit star struck. The Loud Dog team had a great time mingling with La Casa’s supporters and friends, high-fiving each other at the end of the successful event.
Loud Dog had the pleasure of sponsoring the event with an in-kind donation to create a brand identity for La Casa’s 35th anniversary. When we set out to create the brand, however, we never could have imagined that we’d also be given the opportunity to tell a story for La Casa that would have such a powerful impact on the community and those who attended the event.
That night, we unveiled a video to the attendees of the celebration and received an overwhelmingly positive response to the story and its message. It was truly moving to be a part of the first viewing and get real-time feedback from event goers.
The video is a short 2 minute call-to-action, asking viewers to lend their voice to La Casa’s new 1000 Voices Strong campaign. We’ll be working with La Casa to continue momentum on the promotion of this video and their awareness campaign in the coming months as they gear up for their annual redHOT* party on October 4 at One Leidesdorff. We hope you’ll find the message inspiring and one worth sharing: it is so easy to share the video, lending your voice to the movement against domestic violence.
Here are a few snaps from the event, which was held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Fairmont San Francisco.
