Powerful taglines

Good communication is part of good design, and part of good corporate communication is a pithy tagline. Our tagline is “We make websites easy to use.” An article in this month’s UPA Voice gave me some food for thought.

The article is nice, short and to the point.

I thought about it a bit, but “We make awesome, well-designed websites for middle-market and venture backed companies” seems a little too long.

Companies may need two taglines, at least at the beginning: one that’s memorable and catchy, and one that telegraphs what exactly they do. The best taglines accomplish both.
