<p>For startups that sell something, metrics like average revenue per user (ARPU) and customer lifetime value (CLV) are vastly more valuable than detailed pageview tracking. <p>I was interested in why Safari on my iPhone wasn't caching pages, so I looked it up. Apparently it just doesn't cache pages after you close it, and it doesn't cache anything over 25KB, pretty small these days. Article has a bunch more information on typical download speeds, etc.</p>
